We are currently consulting with a wide range of residents, staff and partners to get their views on our draft Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Policy to be published in 2021.
We want to hear your views on our policy and find out about residents' life experiences in Barnet to understand any barriers to opportunities they may face at different points in their life. We want our policy to enable everyone in the borough to fulfil their potential and enjoy a good quality of life.
As part of this consultation we are also holding an online video consultation workshop. We are particularly keen for residents from different cultural backgrounds or people who have a disability to participate in the event. We would also like a mix of age groups and genders.
Information about the event:
the workshop will take place on Wednesday 9 December 2020, from 7.00pm to 8.30pm
the event will be an online video workshop
you will need a reliable internet connection, access to a PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone and a relatively private space at home or work where you can talk.
during the workshop we will break out into different groups which will involve about six residents in each group.
Please only register if you feel comfortable participating in an online, video discussion group. We want you to be able to fully participate, just as you would in a face-to-face discussion group.
As a small token of our appreciation, each person will be offered a £40 shopping voucher payment to thank them for their time and effort.
How to register:
Please take the time to register your interest by completing this short registration form. Registration will be open until the 7 December 2020
We will use the information provided in the registration form to select a mix of residents from different backgrounds and a range of ages. If you are selected we will contact you by 7 December 2020 and provide you with more details on the event.
If we are oversubscribed for the event and you don’t get selected on this occasion, we will keep your details on file and aim to ensure you are invited to future events.
You can also have your say by completing our online questionnaire here.
