Your chance to provide your views on your GP practice
Your chance to provide your views on your GP practice
Every year in January the National Health Service in England (NHSE), through IPSOS MORI, (Market and Opinion Research International) surveys thousands of patients for their opinions on their GP Practice.
This year Ipsos Mori are focussed on raising awareness of this survey amongst patients, so that they will use it to find out how patients rate their own surgery.
The survey reflects how registered GP surgeries in every area of the country are rated. Patients are chosen at random, and the overall choice includes patients from every surgery across an entire range of demographics.
If you have been sent one of these surveys through the post, it is important for you to complete and return it to produce an accurate reflection for the NHSE about patient experience. The more people responding, the better the quality of information the NHSE receives.
Your individual surgery’s results for the current year (2021/22) can be found here. Entering your Surgery’s postal code works best. The results for 2022/23 will be published mid July.
Getting your voice heard- are you aware of this survey?
Barnet Primary Care Group is also working with IPSOS MORI to help raise awareness of their GP Survey which allows patients to determine the effectiveness of their surgery.
We would like to know how aware residents in Barnet are of the survey, please let us know by completing our short mini poll.
Through making your community aware of our Mini Poll, we can collect more views from residents and explore if certain groups are being underrepresented- be an ambassador for your community and help shape how your GP Surgery can support patients.
The results of this poll – which is totally anonymous – will be fed back to IPSOS MORI as Barnet’s patient voice. This is your opportunity to be part of positive change!
What happens after the poll closes?
After the 7th April deadline the Primary Care Group will report back to residents in the autumn on the results of the poll gauging how their awareness of the IPSOS MORI GP Survey has been raised.
Through collecting and gathering this information, the consultation will provide a narrative on accessibility to primary care services.
The Poll results will be fed back to IPSOS MORI by the Barnet Primary Care Group as Barnet's patient voice to determine how widely known the IPSOS MORI GP SURVEY is.
In addition to this online poll on Engage Barnet, The Primary Care Group will also aim to collect data from paper versions of the poll, which will be made available through community venues; such as libraries in the borough.
